1. About ANS

Abstract Name Service ("ANS," "we," "us") provides a naming layer on the Abstract Chain. The service lets you search, register, and manage .abs names and related on-chain records.

ANS is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Abstract Foundation or Abstract Chain.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction and comply with applicable laws. By using ANS, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Wallets and Transactions

ANS is a non-custodial service. You connect your wallet to initiate on-chain transactions. You are responsible for your wallet security, private keys, and any activity through your wallet.

Transactions are executed on-chain and may be irreversible. Gas fees, chain fees, and network conditions are outside our control.

4. Name Registration and Ownership

Registered names are represented by NFTs on the Abstract Chain. Your ownership rights are defined by the smart contracts that mint and manage those NFTs.

Availability, pricing, and registration rules may change based on smart contract logic or protocol updates.

By registering a .abs name through ANS, you acknowledge and agree that .abs names may or may not be used, integrated, or supported by other dApps, wallets, or services in the future. You register and use names at your own risk, and ANS is not responsible for outcomes related to third-party adoption, integration, or use.

ANS is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Abstract Foundation or Abstract Chain.

5. Prohibited Use

You may not use ANS to violate laws, infringe intellectual property, impersonate others, distribute malware, or engage in fraud, abuse, or harassment. We may block access to our interface for prohibited use.

6. Third-Party Services

ANS may link to third-party services (wallets, explorers, analytics, and social platforms). We are not responsible for third-party content or services.

7. Disclaimers

ANS is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ANS and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of ANS after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
